“No examination of ‘Solo’ and the sequel trilogy would be complete without looking at the film’s namesake and his son, Ben Solo. In ‘The Last Jedi’ Snoke tells Ben ‘You have too much of your father’s heart in you, Ben Solo,’ and while I grasped the line at the time (as I did anything that hints towards redemption), I didn’t appreciate the line until ‘Solo’, when I saw what a good heart Han had.
Both Han and Ben are posing, both to themselves and to others, trying to be who they aren’t. Han is posing as a self-proclaimed ‘outlaw’ and Ben is hiding his true self behind a mask and acts so terrible he only hopes to lose the pull of the Light forever. I have made no secret of my desire for a fully-redeemed, living, breathing Ben Solo to be in ‘Episode IX’ and so, like Han, I want to see Ben embrace his status as ‘a good guy.’”
i don’t really know how to put this into real words but some people on here really talk like they’ve seen approximately 6 movies in their life and 4 of them were from disney
Okay so… you know the anime Bleach? Swords, shinigami, lots of babes? Well there are two characters in that fandom. Their names are Ulquiorra Ciefer and Orihime Inoue. Ulquihime is the ship between them.
It’s a villain/heroine ship. Sort of. It’s complicated to say the least. In “talking to someone who’s never seen Bleach” language, he’s a literally heartless “demon” (… kind of. I mean it’s right but not really) and she’s the kind of character who’s like “yo hearts are important you gotta follow your heart to be happy” and he’s like “please… shut up about hearts. I don’t care. Stop crying.” He kidnaps her under orders and she’s like… trying to convince him the power of humans and emotions? Except not really? Only kinda? And there are brief moments where he gets it? Except not really? Only kinda? In theory? Anyway it was short lived but lives on in the hearts of shippers.
This is a terrible explanation of Ulquihime oh my g-d 😂 I’m so sorry.
